Banda Amizade - Banda Sinfónica de Aveiro in partnership with Filarmonia das Beiras and DeCA (Communication and Arts Departament of the University de Aveiro) is organizing a Band Conduting Course given by the famous conductor Ernest Schelle. This Course has the main aim to give to those who want to learn all about the art of Conducting Concert Bands and Orchestras. The course will last 4 days, from the 11th until the 15h June. The course enrolment will have its terminus on 06th of June.

Banda Amizade - Banda Sinfónica de Aveiro performed on the 1st of May on the 2º Concurso de Bandas – Ateneu Artístico Vilafranquense (Portugal) and has won the 3rd prize (87 points)!

Since 2003 Banda Amizade - Banda Sinfónica de Aveiro has been promoting a Summer Music Course for young people under de age of 30. This music course has been a great success since its creation. The famous conductor Armando Saldarini is going to be the artistic director. The course will last 2 weeks, from the 21st July until 01st August. Verão Amizade will take place in Aveiro's Cultural and Congress Center. This course is based on two weeks of orchestral practice. All participants must pay 75€ of fees. Food and accommodation are not at all included, nonetheless you have the opportunity to get very cheap meals (from 2€ to 2€50) in the Dining Hall of the University of Aveiro and you can also get free accommodation near the Aveiro's Cultural and Congress Center, in the Bombeiros Novos' Building. The course enrolment will have its terminus on 18th of July. The number of participants shall not exceed more than one hundred and twenty. Stay tuned for more details. Banda Amizade - Banda Sinfónica de Aveiro will take part of the 2nd Band Contest – Ateneu Artístico Vilafranquense (Portugal). Banda Amizade - Banda Sinfónica de Aveiro will be competing in the first category of Bands. Banda Amizade - Banda Sinfónica de Aveiro will perform the warming up piece "Hymne à la Musique" of Serge Lancen, the compulsory music piece "Pentaphonic" of Franco Benzi" and the free choice piece "Gagarin " of Nigel Clarke.
