by the Italian Besana
de Brianza
Band to be part of the 13th International
Band Festival of Besana de Brianza. This music festival
will take place in Besana de Brianza, near Milano. The festival will
begin on the 30th of June and it will have its terminus on the 06th
of July 2007. The festival commission gives a warm welcome to the huge
number of musicians (more then 800). The concerts done by the bands
are usually assisted by 60.000 people. This is really a very important
music event in Italy. |
| 02nd June 2007 - Banda Amizade on the Valencian Contest of Alginet |
Banda Amizade - Banda Sinfónica de Aveiro will take part of the Certame de Bandas de Música da Vila d'Alginet - Valencia. Banda Amizade will be competing in the category of Bands with 55 to 70 musicians. The compulsory music pieces are "Nurendduna" of José Roig Petit and "Passacaglia" of Ramón Ramos Villanueva. Banda Amizade will perform the "Divine Comedy" of Robert W. Smith as the free choice piece. |
| 22nd April 2007 - 5th Verão Amizade Summer Music Course |
Since 2003 Banda Amizade - Banda Sinfónica de Aveiro has been promoting a Summer Music Course for young people under de age of 30. This music course has been a great success since its creation. The famous conductor Erik Janssen is going to be the artistic director once more. The course will last 2 weeks, from 16th until 27th July. Verão Amizade will take place in Aveiro's Cultural and Congress Center. This course is based on two weeks of orchestral practice. All participants must pay 95€ of fees. Food and accommodation are not at all included, nonetheless you have the opportunity to get very cheap meals (from 1€95 to 2€45) in the Dining Hall of the University of Aveiro and you can also get free accommodation near the Aveiro's Cultural and Congress Center, in the Bombeiros Novos' Building. The course enrolment will have its terminus on 30th of June. The number of participants shall not exceed more than one hundred. Stay tuned for more details. Amizade - Banda Sinfónica de Aveiro
will
do a Spring Concert on the 29th April at 05h:00m
pm. This concert will take place at the Aveiro's Culture
and Congress Center. During the concert, a new image
and logo of the Band will be presented. This design remake it is considered
as an ambicious project that is supposed to lead to a new concept
of what it is a Concert Band. This new image has the aim to give a
new and modern concept about this Symphonic Band, giving her the opportunity
of seaching for new audiences and new markets. This new image and
design concept was conceived by Pedro Gil
and Sofia Barbedo. Banda
Amizade - Banda Sinfónica de Aveiro
will do this concert with some soloists: in the acordeon Sílvia
Lopes, in the Clarinet João Dias,
in the soprano voice Susana Milena and in
the Marimbe Ricardo Casaleiro. The music
piece Celtic Child will be performed by Banda
Amizade - Banda Sinfónica de Aveiro
with the special participation a Choir formed
by all the music students of the 3rd and 4th grades of the of Aveiro's
Primary Schools Group. |
